Manatee County mails 2026 property tax bills; 4% discount available through Dec. 3
Lakewood Ranch property owners began receiving 2026 property tax bills following the start of countywide mailings Monday, Nov. 2, with a 4% discount available for paying early.
The Manatee County Tax Collector scheduled the mailing of 220,594 property tax bills and informational notices countywide, according to an Oct. 30 announcement from the office. The 4% discount applies to annual tax payments received or postmarked by Thursday, Dec. 3, an extension of the standard deadline.
Each bill includes a QR code linking directly to the owner's parcel for online payment at taxcollector.com. Homeowners who do not receive a bill by Friday, Nov. 20, can visit the site to print a duplicate or pay online.
The Manatee County Property Appraiser valued the countywide 2026 tax assessment roll at $89.3 billion, according to the Tax Collector's announcement. The total taxes to be collected amount to approximately $1.46 billion.
Homeowners whose mortgage company or escrow agent requested the bill will receive an informational notice instead. No bill is mailed and no tax is due if the gross tax is less than $15. Unpaid 2026 taxes become delinquent April 1, 2027.
The office will mail 6,127 third-quarter installment bills Monday, Nov. 30. Property owners who want quarterly installments for next year can apply at taxcollector.com by April 30, 2027. Free email alerts for payment deadlines and discount periods are also available on the site.
