Lakewood Ranch High School art teacher Brianna Augustine-Carter launched an online gallery in September to showcase her students' artwork to the community.

Augustine-Carter has been posting student art slideshows on her personal social media accounts, Mustangs Ahead, the school's student news outlet, reported Tuesday. She also sent a slideshow to Bryon Stedman, LRHS's TV production teacher, hoping to get the work featured on the school news Instagram page, @mustangs_ahead.

Students can use the gallery to build portfolios for college applications or professional use.

Augustine-Carter told Mustangs Ahead reporter Callie Phillips that student response has been strong, with many students bringing in extra pieces to be featured.

Families can follow @mustangs_ahead on Instagram for updates on the student art slideshows.
