Lakewood Ranch voters can cast ballots beginning Monday, Oct. 19, at two local early voting locations ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.
Manatee County residents can vote at Lakewood Ranch Library, 16410 Rangeland Parkway, or Lakewood Ranch Town Hall, 8175 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Both locations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily through Sunday, Nov. 1, according to the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections.
The two locations are among eight early voting centers throughout Manatee County. Others include sites in Bradenton, Palmetto, Parrish and Ellenton.
During early voting, registered voters may cast ballots at any designated location within their county. On Election Day, voters must use their assigned precinct.
Sarasota County voters have different hours
Because Lakewood Ranch spans the Manatee-Sarasota county line, residents must vote in the county where they are registered.
Sarasota County offers 11 early voting locations, open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily from Oct. 19 through Nov. 1, according to the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections.
Locations include the Sarasota elections office at 2001 Adams Lane, Fruitville Library at 100 Apex Road and Twin Lakes Park at 5879 Hummingbird Ave.
Voters should bring current, valid identification showing their photograph and signature. Those without an acceptable form of identification may cast a provisional ballot.
Mail ballot requests due Oct. 22
Voters who want a ballot mailed to them must submit their requests by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.
Completed vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the appropriate county supervisor of elections by 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3. A postmark alone does not satisfy the deadline for most domestic voters.
Residents can check their registration status, find their Election Day precinct and review sample ballots through their county elections office.
Manatee County voters can visit VoteManatee.gov, while Sarasota County voters can visit SarasotaVotes.gov.
Early voting ends Sunday, Nov. 1, in both counties. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, with precinct polls open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
