Hyatt Place Lakewood Ranch has a new look after a $3 million renovation.

Lodgco Hospitality completed the overhaul of all 122 guest rooms and public spaces at Hyatt Place Lakewood Ranch, at 6021 Exchange Way, the Business Observer first reported. Work ran from May through the end of August 2026.

Renovation touches every part of property

The project touched every part of the property, which opened in 2017. Guest rooms got new mattresses, TVs, artwork, lighting, seating and window treatments. New wall vinyl and flooring went into both rooms and common areas. The lounge, bar and dining spaces received fresh paint and soft seating. Outside, new furniture replaced the old pieces around the pool and terrace. The meeting room and fitness center were also updated.

Executives highlight investment in community

Pam Hagen, Lodgco's director of capital and facilities, said in an email to the Business Observer that the renovation brings "a fresh and comfortable experience for guests" with a more contemporary look throughout.

Lodgco President Scott Stuart called the project "a significant investment ... in the growing Lakewood Ranch community" in a statement. The Michigan-based company owns and operates 21 hotels across Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Colorado.

Five other Lodgco properties sit in the Sarasota-Manatee area: Hyatt Place Sarasota Airport, Home2 Suites Nokomis Casey Key, Hampton Inn & Suites North Port, Coral Pointe Sarasota and Caretta Landing Sarasota. The last two, formerly known as Ameniti Bay and Magnolia Pointe, recently finished a nearly $2 million rebranding, the Business Observer reported.

Lakewood Ranch region keeps growing

The community around the hotel keeps expanding. Lakewood Ranch ranked No. 1 among multi-generational master-planned communities in RCLCO Real Estate Consulting's midyear 2026 survey, with 1,035 new-home sales and more than 80,000 residents. It placed No. 2 overall nationally.

General Manager Serena Rouleau said the hotel plans to invite community partners for a firsthand look at the changes. No date for that event has been announced.
