Allegiant Air scheduled 32 departing flights from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport during the week of Sept. 24, connecting Lakewood Ranch and the broader Suncoast to 15 nonstop destinations.

The carrier's schedule for the week of Sept. 24–30 included flights to cities across the Midwest, Northeast and Southeast, according to the Suncoast Post. Destinations that week included Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Boston, Syracuse, Knoxville and Asheville, among others. Including inbound flights, Allegiant logged roughly 64 total flight operations at SRQ during the seven-day stretch.

Two schedule changes are coming in February 2027. Allegiant will launch a new seasonal nonstop route between Providence, Rhode Island, and SRQ on Feb. 13, 2027, running through April 24, 2027, according to an Allegiant press release issued Aug. 17. The airline also plans to expand its existing Flint, Michigan, service to three weekly flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays starting Feb. 10, 2027, according to a separate Allegiant announcement on Sept. 1.

Drew Wells, Allegiant's chief commercial officer, said in the Sept. 1 release that the expanded Flint-to-SRQ frequency and new Flint-to-Florida routes give travelers more convenient options for reaching popular destinations.

The growth reflects a rapid buildup at SRQ. Allegiant began serving the airport in 2018 with flights to three cities. The airline's route map lists 33 destinations, though many are seasonal and do not operate every week. SRQ is one of Allegiant's largest bases, and the carrier flies from the airport's newer Concourse A using Airbus jets that seat roughly 180 to 190 passengers.

In May 2025, SRQ marked Allegiant's 5 millionth passenger at the airport. Paul Hoback, SRQ's president and CEO, said in a May 2025 press release marking the milestone that the Allegiant partnership had been central to the airport's growth and that SRQ was working toward 10 million passengers.

No flights leave Tuesdays or Saturdays.

Allegiant's weekly SRQ schedule is heaviest on Thursdays and Sundays, with nine departures each. Fridays and Mondays carry five flights apiece, and Wednesdays have four. The Providence route begins Feb. 13, 2027, and the expanded Flint service starts Feb. 10, 2027.
