Sarasota Paradise signed former U.S. Men's National Team attacker Romain Gall for the rest of the 2026 season, the club announced Aug. 30.

European résumé includes Malmö, Europa League

Gall earned his senior USMNT debut against Italy on Nov. 20, 2018. He brings European pedigree to the first-year USL League One club, which plays home matches at Premier Sports Campus in Lakewood Ranch. Gall spent four seasons with Swedish top-flight powerhouse Malmö FF, competing in the Allsvenskan and the UEFA Europa League. He was part of the Malmö squad that captured the 2022 Swedish Cup.

Before Malmö, Gall played for GIF Sundsvall in Sweden's top division and had loan stints with Norwegian club Stabæk and Swedish side Örebro SK.

Standout scorer for U.S. youth national teams

Gall was the top scorer at the 2014-15 Concacaf U-20 Championship with five goals. He recorded 13 goals in 25 appearances for the U.S. U-20 national team and four goals in four appearances for the U-18s.

Gall first appeared with Paradise as a trialist in the Snowbird Derby series on July 29. He started and scored the opening goal in a 2-2 draw.

"To add a player of his caliber to our roster at this point of the season is a sign of our ambition as a club," head coach Mika Elovaara said in the club's announcement.

Gall said the move represents "a second chance to play the game I love" and a chance to help the club grow.

Paradise riding strong recent form

Paradise heads into the signing after a win over Chattanooga Red Wolves and a 1-1 draw at league-leading Union Omaha on Aug. 22. In that Omaha match, Callum Stretch headed in the opener off an Andres Rodriguez corner in the 27th minute. Omaha had been riding a 21-game home unbeaten streak dating to 2025.

Club building on record-setting inaugural season

The club opened its inaugural professional season March 7 before a record crowd of 2,791 at Premier Sports Campus, according to Bradenton Magazine. In 2025, before turning professional, Paradise posted a 9-1-2 regular-season record and earned its first playoff win.

Debut could come Saturday against Spokane

Gall could make his official debut when Paradise hosts Spokane Velocity at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Premier Sports Campus. The match airs nationally on ESPN+.
