Lakewood Ranch families can trick-or-treat twice on Saturday, Oct. 24, without leaving the boulevard.
East Manatee Fire Rescue and the Lakewood Ranch YMCA are each hosting trunk-or-treat events on Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, Pulse of Manatee reported. The two events run back to back, giving costumed kids a full evening of candy and activities.
East Manatee Fire Rescue Trunk or Treat
East Manatee Fire Rescue runs its event from 4 to 6 p.m. at 3200 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Participating vendor Rye Meadow Ranch also confirms the date, time and location and plans to bring cows for visitors to meet.
Lakewood Ranch YMCA Trunk or Treat
The Lakewood Ranch YMCA event begins at 6 p.m. at 5100 Lakewood Ranch Blvd. Pulse of Manatee lists candy, games, a costume contest, food trucks and a haunted house, which requires separate tickets. For the closing time and haunted-house ticket details, contact the YMCA at 941-798-9622.
The staggered schedule means families who start at the fire station can continue to the YMCA as the evening goes on.
Both events are part of a larger Halloween weekend across Manatee County running Oct. 23 through Oct. 25.
