The Bradenton Marauders ended a turbulent week on the highest possible note Monday, July 27, winning both games of a doubleheader against the Dunedin Blue Jays on walk-off hits at LECOM Park to salvage a split of their six-game series.

Cristian Jauregui delivered a walk-off RBI single for a 2-1 victory in game one. Antonio Pimentel crushed a two-run homer to seal a 7-5 comeback in game two.

The Pittsburgh Pirates' Single-A affiliate had snapped a six-game losing skid with a win over Dunedin on Sunday, July 26, and the Monday doubleheader sweep extended the turnaround to three straight victories, according to Pulse of Manatee. Bradenton now sits at 13-16 in the second half and 44-50 overall. Dunedin finished the series at 14-15 in the second half and 44-50 overall.

Game one: Jauregui walks it off again

The opener was a resumption of a game suspended Saturday night, picking up in the top of the sixth with the score knotted 1-1. It stayed that way until the bottom of the seventh, when Pimentel ripped a double and Jauregui followed with a base hit to bring him home. It was Jauregui's second walk-off hit of the series against Dunedin.

Game two: Ramirez, Pimentel power ninth-inning rally

Game two was a back-and-forth affair. Johan De Los Santos singled, stole second, and advanced to third on a throwing error in the bottom of the third inning. Edgleen Perez hit a sacrifice fly to score De Los Santos and tie the game 1-1, and Richard Ramirez followed with a solo home run to put Bradenton ahead 2-1.

Dunedin reclaimed the lead with runs in the sixth and seventh innings to go up 3-2. The Marauders answered in the bottom of the seventh when Eddie King Jr. walked, Perez singled, and Ramirez doubled to score King and knot it at 3-3.

The Blue Jays pushed ahead again, 5-3, heading into the bottom of the ninth. Perez drew a walk, and Ramirez launched a two-run homer off Dunedin reliever Josbel Garcia to tie it 5-5. Brent Iredale singled, and Pimentel ended it with a two-run blast for the 7-5 final.

Ramirez finished game two with a solo homer, a two-run homer, and an RBI double.
